The purpose of the the Youth Program at Rainbow Mennonite Church is to implement an intergenerational and nurturing space where the needs and gifts of 6th-12th grade youth are named and served.
Each month there are several regularly scheduled youth activities for both jr high (6th-8th grade) and sr high (9th-12th) grade youth. There is a combined jr high and sr high youth group event the first Sunday of every month from 6:00-8:00pm. Jr high youth meet for breakfast at 8:30am the third Sunday of every month. Sr high youth meet the third Sunday of every month for a special lunch discussion together. In addition, each group participates in lock-ins throughout the year as well as various service projects within our community.
The sr high youth group takes a trip every summer to various places across the USA. In the past, these trips have included Mennonite Church USA Conventions, a Montana Learning Experience, and other Service Trips. Sr high youth also travel to the Mennonite Central Committee Sale in Hutchinson, KS for a weekend in April. There are also opportunities to travel to Rocky Mountain Mennonite Snow Camp in the winter and special retreats to Camp Mennoscah in the fall.

The jr high youth have the opportunity to participate in a week of service during the summer around the Kansas City area. During the school year jr high youth have traveled to Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp for Snow Camp as well as Hesston College for their Know Jesus event.
